The Fresco kids mural project
This youth mural project was designed by a group of young artists currently active in an Art Club at Dr. J. H. Gillis Regional High School in Antigonish. Mentored by emerging artist and educator Adele MacFarlane, with guidance from Art Teacher/Art Club Founder Brad Puskas, the students collaborated on a design for the lower portion of the West-facing wall of the Whidden Building, which currently houses the All-of-us Society for Art Presentation (ASAP) Artist Run Centre. The finished mural measures approximately 2m x 12m, running the length of the wall toward the back of the building, along the sloped lane way at 319 Main Street, Antigonish.
